19 Weeks

I’m 19 weeks pregnant! I still haven’t felt the baby move yet, but I should any week now. I bought Burt’s Bees Belly Butter to help prevent stretch marks and I’m not sure if it actually works, but it can’t hurt to give it a try. Physically, I still feel great and am eating and sleeping well. Patrick and I are both getting really excited about our baby girl!

18 Weeks

On Friday, Patrick and I went to dinner with a couple who are also expecting (friends of a friend) and it was really nice to be able to talk to someone else who is pregnant. I only have one other friend who I keep in touch with who’s pregnant right now (unfortunately she doesn’t live in the area), so it was great to be able to relate to someone else who’s going through the same thing as I am

The most noticeable change this week for me is that my belly button is much shallower now and is slowly getting pushed out (Emily, if you’re reading this, I know that’s probably freaking you out). I’ve still been eating the same way, working out about 5 times a week (mix of going to the gym and jogging), and am sleeping pretty well. I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow and hopefully we’ll find out if the baby is a boy or a girl!

17 Weeks

 

Today I noticed that when I reach for something while I’m sitting, I can really feel the baby. It feels like a tight little ball at the base of my stomach, which is kind of cool and weird at the same time. I’m still sleeping 9 hours a night and if I get less than that, I have to nap during the day. I’ve always needed about 8 hours of sleep a night, though, so it’s not too big of a change. If everything works out well next week, we’ll know if the baby is a boy or a girl! I can’t wait!

16 Weeks

Today I’m officially 4 months into my pregnancy! These are some of the first pictures that I took with the camera that my parents gave me for my birthday last weekend. I’m pretty excited to have it and am slowly learning more about DSLR cameras.

I’m still feeling good this week, but I noticed that certain foods make me feel really bad now. While we were in Northern Virginia last weekend, I had pizza and some other food that I typically don’t eat and felt terrible on Saturday night. I guess it’s still not that bad, though, since I got off pretty easy without morning sickness or nausea earlier in my pregnancy.

Within a few more weeks, I think that people who don’t know me will be able to tell that I’m pregnant. Hopefully this next week will continue to go smoothly!
